Where do you get your poults?

Where do you get your poults from? Me and the hubby want to order some for next spring.

Honestly, a lot of times is whereever is closest to you. None are really close for me, I generally get my Broad Breasted from Mt Healthy in Ohio and heritage turkeys fro Kevin Porter in Indiana. I am pleased with both, but that's just me.

I started off with a Tom and his girlfriend and together they had poults. From there, I sell poults to customers.

Mine came from Cackle. They hatch and ship the turkeys themselves (instead of drop-shipping them). I have blue slates and bourbon reds. Great birds. I had one fail to thrive and several were killed by a neighbors marauding dog (it has since mysteriously disappeared). Otherwise they are healthy and happy birds.

I buy from a local breeder................ great folks and they have great quality birds and a few breeds to choose from and at a much better cost than feed store or hatchery Turkeys. They hatch them around spring, I like to get mine in late march or I can get some hatching egg's from them earlier.
