Last night we got about 6 1/2 inches of rain. It flooded the garage and a little bit of the house. Of course the chicks brooders are in the garage and within 20 seconds both batch of chicks were standing in cold water. We had to put them all in one storage bin while we dealt with the rising waters and when I came back to check on them, they were all snuggled up. SO glad they behaved together while they had to!

Oh phew, lucky you!
They must have realized something was wrong and behaved for you!

Thanks! The three Buff Cochins are the older ones, then I have two silkies, what I think is a mottled Houdan and a mystery chick. A lot for such a little space, but I think your right. They probably knew something was not right.
