White Jersey Giants

This one has proven to be an excellent escape artist

thats what i was hoping i would get.. a good size that isnt as fast growing as the CX. after looking at my CX last night.. i have at least one pullet who looks to have decent legs, but i have one nicer looking cockeral.. no way my dad would give up a pullet for one of my experiments!

From reading information on here, people who succeed in keeping Cornish X's to point of lay restrict their feed a bit, for example removing it at night and perhaps feeding twice a day. They place water and food away from each other so the bird gets decent exercise. what was interesting was that those who did it said they actually were decent layers of very large eggs.
I thought of doing this, but haven't committed.

No problem beer can. As soon as I can get outside again i will try and get some weights

Ohh I mean full grown weight, be awhile yet. I haven't bothered weighing mine, they arn't any bigger than my sussex yet. That 'escape artist' a giant? Maybe I shouldn't worry about the grey in mine.

Picture of my White Jersey Giants. My pullet is out growing my cockerels.

I am planning to breed her with my largest Black Jersey Giant.

Maybe this one.
