When I got my first egg, I wanted to call up everyone to tell them but I knew they wouldn't be as excited as I was!

Ha Ha. Yes.Occasionally I'll forget whom I'm talking to about my girls and suddenly they get quiet and I realise they are being very polite but a little bored.

One of my birds started squatting yesterday! Based on the age and breed of my chickens, and not much scientific data, I arbitrarily selected the date July 10 as when I would get a first egg. I'm getting excited now
