Worm?

You can feel your laying hens’ abdomens to check for an indication of issues. Feel the area under the vent and before the keel bone. In laying hens it should be soft and squishy. It it’s hard, distended, fluid filled like a water balloon — these are all signs of a possible issue.
How about in a rooster?
 
Same thing because organ issues resulting in edema or ascites as well as some cancer will present similarly.

A good practice is to check crops in the evening before roosting to make sure everyone has eaten, and then again when you let them out in the morning to make sure they are all empty.
I usually give them all a quick look over every morning and evening. Im the only one who lets them out and puts them away.

Gonna check them tomorrow more thoroughly.
