How do you prevent worms. What is Invermectin? (SP??) I saw it at the feed store and it was in horse/pig doses. Can we use a tiny bit of that? How do you administer it? Thanks for your help. I just want healthy chickens!!!

There are lots of ways to approach the problem of worms.
Some folks never worm. Others worm only after a positive fecal float from a vet. Some folks use only natural and/or herbal worm treatments.
I have decided for my flock to worm once a year. I use valbazen, which is another cattle/sheep wormer. I chose it over ivermectin because for me the method of administering it (oral vs. on the skin) was easier.
