My broody hen hatched out three chicks three days ago. Today one chick got out of the run and cut herself on some blackberries. The wound is on her back, about half inch square, and seems to be torn skin more than a cut. It isn't bleeding much, but it covers a pretty big area.

What should I do, given that the chick is only three days old?

I patted the wound with very diluted hydrogen peroxide and removed her from the coop. Should I put her back with the mama hen, even though the wound is slightly visible? If I keep her inside until it heals, will mama hen accept her again?

Thanks so much---any ideas are greatly appreciated.
