Wry Neck - Confused about treatment

Pics
Well she is sill with us!!! Although her crop isn't emptying by morning. I was old to feed her bird formula ( kaytees) which I have done. But she is still vomiting a little. Mainly when I massage her crop she bring stuff up :( this only started happening yesterday. She is bright and always excited to see me LOL. She preens herself when I put her in the sun and is still shaking that neck trying o get it right.
Yesterday I thought maybe she has sore ears?? The way she was shaking her head made me think this. I checked them and they look ok on the outside.. Could ear problems explain why her head is still tilted???
Apart from these small things she is one tough chicken... She is taking small steps forward now although she sill walks in circles.. She is growing new feather all over and if I try to help by pulling the shedding off she starts preening lol... I just need to help her with this crop :( I picked her up yesterday and she vomited -Also when I massage her crop she brings it up... Poor girl she's been on such a long path to recovery. But she hasn't given up yet!!!!!

THATS great to hear that she's still with us. WHEW!!

Well I guess it's possible that she could have an ear infection, I have some really good stuff for that but I got it from a vet. Let me see if there is something you can try, I know in the past when I have had an ear infection I would take some garlic and oil put it in the microwave for like 30 seconds then crush up the garlic clove and put drops in my ear after two shots of these it would clear it up but Not sure if that's something to try on a chicken. let me research it first.

Thank you!!
Well her crop is emptying normally again, and she has stopped vomiting :) I still wonder if her neck is twisting the WRONG way- not sure if she would pull it the wrong way but that's what it looks like. When she shakes her head trying to get it right she tilts and pulls it to the side and back towards her tail. Hopefully I'm wrong and it is just taking time to shift lol- over 4 months now this journey as been going. I must be doing something right as my girl is sill ALIVE- omg that still amazes me. I must admit I do think sometimes if by treating and feeding and persevering has been the right thing to do. ( I still don't know this answer) but I promised Licorice at the beginning if her illness I would do whatever I could to help her.. And I haven't given up... She is a different chicken to what she was those first few months although she isn't back to normal just yet.. She has stolen my heart and has tried her hardest I'm sure to beat this.. She has gone up & down and has let me push pills down her throat, force feed her via syringe, bath & dry her ( hair dryer) massage her ALL over, stretch her neck and make her hold it LOL ( a bit like physio) and she hasn't complained once. Oh and she even wore a horrid haircut for a long while... ( hehe) she is covered in new feather and let's me help shed the skin off them as she can't.. She has had every vitamin known to man and has had many different foods fed o her, eating every bit regardless.. She is now on bird formula only, and seems to not like it much, but eats the lot.. Since feeding this she hasn't vomited as much and it seems to have helped with her crop emptying by morning. She is no longer on ANY medication , just the formula..
I still pray every night she will recover eventually and I'll keep assisting her in any way necessary..
I love her to bits and although she may never be fully recovered she will never be put to sleep.
As LONG as she is willing to live- I will help her...

But gee whizz- 18,weeks is a long time to be hand feeding a hen daily & looking after her. lol xx

Thank you!!

here neck isn't twisted the wrong way. LOL...

What about her weight, is she gaining any weight back. Very important to keep an eye on that!!

CONFIRMED, TRY THE oil garlic, try it for a few days, see if it helps with the shaking of her head? if it's an ear infection it should knock it out of her..

I had a roo with an ear infection , I used chlorsig eye drops ( available over the counter in Aus).
My hubby is a navy diver and often has ear problems, and although they are eye drops was prescribed them by ENT specialist. I have also used them on my boer goat with conjunctivitis .
Does her ear smell? My roo had a big cheesey plug in the ear canal. I held him while my daughter removed it with tweezers. Yuck!

Thank you or all the support and kind words - it is very much appreciated.
Licorice is doing great this week, no vomiting for a while and she is bright.
She isn't gaining weight quickly but she's not loosing any either.

Do I put the garlic/ oil in her ear? Or should I use the Chlorsig which I have as well?

Are you laughing at me /lacrystol with me thinking her neck is twisting the wrong way LOL... It really does look like it is. But I'm sure she wouldn't do it the wrong way either heheh...

Well I'll keep updating on my super stars progress xx
