Hi everyone! I would edit my other post but it won't let me. Looking for some Serama eggs or even chicks. Would love to have them sooner rather than later so if you can ship with heat packs that would be great! Thanks!

I have a few girls that are currently laying. Smooth and silkied, no frizzles. Mix of colors, qualities and sizes and an occasional leg feather here and there.

I have Serama eggs, and I can purchase heat packs. I have seen them in the camping section at Walmart. I have two mottled roosters, and my hens that are laying are buff with tan and grey tips on their feathers. I have one that is gold with flecks of black, and two that are black with flecks of white. They weigh 10-12 ounces as of 2 weeks ago, very tiny.

How prevalent is the silkie gene? I am not quite sure what to I think about the silkied ones. Price for a dozen with shipping?

We are on a weather roller coaster, so the laying took a nose dive. :(

As for the silkied, they can be smooth but carry the silkied gene, but both parents have to be carriers for it to show. I mostly have smooth layers right now, but would still have a small chance of them having silkied offspring. I haven't figured out all my carriers yet. I also have some young silkied cockerels with them, and i think they are l starting to get in on the mating, so that would up the silkied possibility. I would guess maybe 35-40% chance of silkied offspring.

Are you still selling hatching eggs? I can’t figure out how to send you a PM...
