There's been this thing in the news lately spreading like wildfire called Zombie Deer Disease, aka Chronic Wasting Disease. It says only deer, elk, and moose get this, but it has me thinking. Deer and Goats are kinda similar (mostly the browsing thing), but I do get deer that travel through my property. Could CWD affect my goatie? Or even my horse for that matter? It probably sounds silly, but I just wanna be sure.

"CWD does not appear to naturally infect cattle or other domesticated animals."

There are many chronic wasting diseases in goats. Johnes, and CAE come to mind.

Goats can also pick up brain worms from deer. I would recommend keeping the deer out if possible due to it.
