Additional Information | New Ordinance #13-2009 states that: 1. Chapter 150.03 of the Land Usage Code shall be amended to exclude hens from the definition of farm animals. 2. Section 151.1003 of the Land Usage Code shall be amended to recognize as a permitted use in the A, B, and C districts the keeping of chickens/hens provided that such animals are kept for personal use by the resident of the property and that chickens/hens shall be limited to six or fewer chickens. 3. Section 151.1009(B) shall be amended to require chicken coops be permitted in the side or rear yard no less than fifteen feet from the side lot or rear lot line, not visible from the public street on which the property fronts, be screened from abutting properties with landscaping, a fence, or a wall, not exceed six feet in height, and not cover an area greater than 80 square feet. |
