We love our hillside coop under the oaks. The girls seem to like it fine too. Since living under the oaks can be dark, I have put in lots of windows and even a skylight in to maximise the natural light. The attached secured run is completely lined with 1/2 hardware clothe to insure the our squirrel friends stay out. Inside the run is a series of ramps and roosts to keep the girls entertained when they can't free range.
