This is an old shed. My husband generously donated the back 4" by 10' to my chickens. We put in a new window and a pop hole that has a simple pulley stem so you can raise and lower the door from the outside of the coop. There is an attached run that is partially covered with metal roofing. It is slanted because we plan on adding a gutter to collect rainwater into a rain barrel for summer watering.
I can easily walk into the coop and the run which is really convenient. Also for security I have dug a trench all the way around the run and buried chicken wire about 18 inches out and up the fence. It also has a chicken wire roof
over the exposed portion to keep predators from climbing up.
