I am a rising sophomore in high school and created this coop for a year long freshman project. I live in a urban city in NJ and have 2 Buff Orpingtons, 1 Silver Cuckoo Maran, and 2 Silkies. I had a small coop, online bought coop, but made a bigger one and got the silkies. Here are pictures of my progress.
I used an A-Frame Design.
I put a ladder and shingles on as well, and built a nesting box for upstairs.
