Starting off with a swing set is a good idea but this article lacks details. Also, I wouldn't think using unfinished plywood for an outdoor project is going to last.

I'd love an update on how this ended up working out for you.
I am guessing it didn't do to well.

I am obsessed with swingset coops, but this one needs some improvements so the particle board will hold up through the seasons. I also think it looks really dark inside. It would be nice to know if the chickens like it, but there is no text with the article.

Congrats, a great version of the A-frame! I always get worried when an a frame is just covered in chicken wire and does not provide much shelter for the birds- but this is just grand

One of my coops is an a-frame built on a swing set that I made for my kids from 4x4 lumber. Eleven feet high at the peak, ten feet wide, ten feet long. I can house 20 chickens. They go out and live free all day, then come home at night to roost. The only problem is that I have to set roosting poles so they don't kill themselves while flying down. Believe me, the chickens go to the highest point attainable.

Always nice to be able to repurpose something like a swingset. Curious about the dimensions...it looks tight for birds roosting on the top bar to get down.
