I still need to cut out the holes for the nesting boxes and windows. They are framed for it for future additions. The chicks grew up quicker than expected so the coop was built quickly to get them out of my garage. I also plan to extend the run under the coop as soon as I run chicken wire around the base. This coop was designed for snow in harsh winters. Snow can easily slide off the metal steep roof. Why I built this design in sunny California? The plans were the easiest available for a first time coop builder like me. I also like the Cape Cod back east look it will have when finally complete. Thanks.
