Nice little coop. I guess that could work for four chickens as they'd only be in there to lay eggs and sleep. Great pictures and narrative of how you built it.
Coop is way too small for 4 full sized chickens. Also it appears to need much more ventilation

Fantastic job working to change the chicken ordinance! Valiant effort!!! Along with getting over your fear of the circular saw... something I haven't even conquered yet. The hinged roof is a great idea. I know it takes a lot of work to build a coop from scratch, but this one does seem pretty small to house any more than 2 chickens so an upgrade might be inevitable.
