| Additional Information | (5) All Farm buildings and uses, other than the growing of crops and raising of livestock, shall meet Special Permit standards. A farm stand of less than 200 square feet in size is permitted as of right; such farm stand shall be at least 20 feet from the street line and at least 100 feet from any intersection. Buildings used for the storage of agricultural products are an accessory use. Operating dairy farms may sell products raised or produced on such farms at farm stands or from buildings on the premises. Buildings used for the storage of motor vehicles and equipment used in the operation of the farm are permitted as an accessory use. The repair of such vehicles and equipment within buildings on the farm is permitted. Commercial piggeries, fur farms, goat farms and similar uses are prohibited. (8) Home Occupations/Professional Offices are accessory uses and shall not change the residential character of the building; shall be registered with the Zoning Enforcement Officer; only residents are permitted to work on the premises; minimal customers may visit the business on a regular basis; if the operator of the home occupation/professional office wants to have non-residents employed on the premises, the Zoning Enforcement Officer shall require that a Site Plan be approved by the Commission, but in no instance shall more than two (2) non-residents be employed on the premises; adequate on-site parking must be provided for employees and customers. (9) Private high schools are prohibited. (10) Single family residential uses are allowed in the I-1, 1-2, and I-P Districts by Special Permit. See Section 9.20. (11) Excludes housing of poultry and livestock. |
