Additional Information | § 1, 2002) 6.02.205 Possession of any exotic animal, livestock or fowl prohibited with exceptions. It is prohibited for persons to own or have control or possession of any exotic animal, livestock or fowl as defined in FMC 6.02.020(12) within the City of Ferndale except for duly licensed commercial establishments. (Ord. 1503 § 1, 2008; Ord. 1497 § 1, 2008; Ord. 1284 § 1, 2002) Email from Gary Jenson, the mayor of Ferndale, WA: We have voted to change our regulations regarding this issue. Chickens are no longer listed as prohibited. We have not listed them as allowed either. The was a quick, simple way to solve the issue. If a neighbor has a problem with someones chickens they would have to get one other neighbor to join in and file for a NUISANCES ORDININCE claim. Our Compliance Officer would then start an investigation. So at this point you are perfectly legal. |
