This is where I decided was best to put the coop; in the back yard of my elderly neighbor cat enthusiast, since I was living on the second floor of a 10 unit apartment building.

My mother said it had an "apocalyptic vibe."
They would have wind protection, a bit of grass, and a nice tall fence. I put bird netting over the whole thing. Here are the photos from the building process:

Neither of us had any idea how to install corrugated plastic paneling, so just kind of winged it 🤷‍♂️. It started leaking and warping and it was terrible. I had to do much more work in the rain than I would have liked. Do your research!! Pretty much everything was wrong. But! It got fixed.

I enlisted the help of my mother's engineer boyfriend to help me design and build an automatic pop door opener run by a solar panel. I had previously been swinging down the cut out square from when I made the door hole.

Here's what it looks like present day after moving it to my new place - a real house with a real yard!
