Don't take anything I say to personally because I'm a newbie at this chicken stuff! I don't even know what an open air coop is! I'm just trying to help the site out by rating some coops. I like the fact that you have a fully encaged area to keep your chicks save. The ramp that leads to what I guess is the coop doesn't look right to me ~ if I were a chicken and wanted to quickly get to my coop for protection, this ramp wouldn't do it for me. I can't really see inside your coop, but to me it appears only the top is covered. Again, if I were a chicken, I wouldn't feel safe or secure. To me it would be the same as a burglar breaking into my home and expecting me to feel safe by putting a lampshade on my head. I hope you understand how hard it was for me to be honest ~ which is what the site asks for in this rating thing.
