Put my eggs in a few hours ago with more plans for more eggs in it soon!

It has 4 egg trays, each of which holds at the max 100 chicken eggs!

Just imagine how many quail eggs then!!! *jaw drops*

It has manual egg turners that i think are just so cute! I dont mind turning them this way..it's just a leaver I pull forward then back in on each tray and the eggs get rolled.

Its hard to believe this incubator is 70 years old and is still in such wonderful shape! it was taking care of so well, it will get the same treatment here.

I am so greatful for having it, my hatchaholic prayers have been answered!

The incubator is the Farm Master Sears Roebuck

Now mind you...this incubator is so large, if i remove the 4 trays i can crawl inside and shut the door

LOL! Not that i'd want to

but it's crazy how big it is!

Outside of the window needs to be wiped off (spider webs), but this is the thermometer (still mercury), and the wet bulb (i had always wondered what they looked like and how they worked)!

Some of my eggs going in one of the trays:

Closed up and ready for me to shut the door and let them slowly simmer

I love to see old ones put back to use. I have 2 of them, but dont know where to start to redo them, one is a table top and the other is on legs, been thinking it would be a nice coffee table, heheheh.

That is pretty cool. When my wife told on of her customers we were getting into chickens, he offer her a used incubator. Only problem is it was a 5000 egg model. Said we could have it for free. Just wanted to get the use of his barn back. I don't think we're ready for that many chickens.

LOL! This man was offered $500 for this thing, but refused to sell it to the antique dealer for that price because he wanted it used for it's original purpose. So he sold it to me for $125! LOL Im lucky he trusted me to use it for it's true purpose cuz i deffinatly got a deal. i am in love with the big ole thing! LOL!

WOW!!!! that's really awesome! Yeah I dont even think I'll hatch 400 at a time! If i do, it will be for customers wanting chicks, not for me! LOL! I'd be killed if i tried to keep that many

I found this thing on Craigslist. I posted a wanted ad not thinking anyone would respond and the next day I had an email from this guy. I knew right away it was a good incubator with a good deal.

He said he wasnt thinking of selling it until he saw my ad and knew it'd get used again

Off to google earth Canelo... humm.... just over the mountain from Sierra Vista... do you guys actually get snow down there? Says you are at an elevation of just about 5000 ft unless you are down in the 'swamp'.

How big of a truck would I need to go get it?
