Exchequer Leghorns in Bantam? (found pictures of KS)

Quote:
That is what I thought. It is the "In this country" I was worried about.

Do anconas come in bantam? They might work.

Though I live here now I am not familiar enough with US birds to be of much help. They have both exchequer Leghorns & Anconas in bantam in UK. I'd be surprised if they didn't have both here. Even so Leghorns are not large birds & there are quite a few people here in US who breed exchequers. It might be an idea to ask someone here who has the large fowl or even consider trying the large fowl yourself.
Good luck; they're nice birds.

I will try and find some in both sizes if I can.
I am going to try and improve the Kentucky Specks gene pool with them. The KS is so inbred they have a lot of problems. I am getting some chicks tomorrow, and if they survive long enough, I would like to try crossing them with something similar to help out their gene pool.

Do you have any pictures of Kentucky Specks? I've never even heard of them before, but I worked extensively with genetics of exchequer & mottled birds back in Britain & might have a few ideas, if it would help.

These are the only pictures I have right now. They are bantam sized and have been around for over 200 years, but are very rare.
They are single combed or rose combed and are white with black and bronze/brown spots.

I can't find the pictures I had on my computer, so I took one off the Shady Lane Bantam site. I have yet to find any good pictures of them on line.
