Look at the size egg that came out of one of them.
Sheesh no wonder they bawk so loud after THAT!
They are just 19 weeks. The little eggs are what size they have been laying and the white one is a store bought large egg. Believe me I'm not complaining

but OUCH that had to hurt. It's way bigger than the double yolker I had.

Yep, my blackie did the same the other day, but I heard her squawk!!! poor little girl, and there was a smear of blood on the egg too just from the effort to get it out. I stopped giving her leftover cat food after that just to let things settle down.
Hope your girl has a nice rest after that one! Give her bonus pocketmoney to take to the Chicken treat shop!!!
 
LOL, I've come across a couple like that too. I loved it when you said you scanned the lot for a dead hen. I did the exact same thing. I think women in general are more sensitive to this issue then the men. I know my hubby just said "kewl, that's my girl!" All I kept thinking was "ouch".
