I am not sure on the breeds of my chickens. I got them from a gal who ordered several hundred by mail and was getting rid of them. She said there were red leghorns, barred rock and speckled sussex. I don't think she was right. Also, can you tell if any of them are roosters? I keep hearing a few of them crow in the morning and I can't tell which ones are doing it. They never crow when you are looking. They are 9 weeks old.

#1 is a light brahma cockerel

#2 is a RIR cockerel

#3 is another RIR; pullet, I think

#4 is possibly a cockerel--don't know breed or variety. CHeck hackle and saddle featehrs for pointed versus rounded ends (actually do this for all). Pointed ends are males; rounded ends are females (except for a very few breeds, none of which I see.)

#5 & #6 are australorp pullets;

#7 appears to have a pea comb

#1 - light brahma (if it has feathers on its legs) cockerel
#2 - RIR cockerel
#3 - RIR (front bird is cockerel, red one behind it is a pullet)
#4 - cockerel - has a pea comb - not sure of breed
#5 - black australorp? cockerel - large wattles for 9 weeks
#6 - black australorp - probably cockerel, but can't see the wattles
#7 - black australorp - pullet

A pea comb is just one of many different types of combs - different breeds of chickens have different types of combs. Rhode island reds & australorps have straight/single combs, light brahmas have pea combs (these are not the only 2 types of combs out there).

I don't think you'll see pointed saddle feathers or hackle feathers at only 9 weeks of age, but I could be wrong. The hackle feathers are around the neck and the saddle feathers are down by the tail - maybe someone else can post a photo of their rooster for illustration.
 
I agree- your friend must have got the heavy "Brown egg layer" special. I just crossed my RIR with my Black Australorp- hope the chicks are as pretty as your #4! They're all great breeds.
 
1. not a brahma, it's an EE cockerel.
2. RIR cockerel
3. RIR cockerel
4. EE cockerel
5. BA cockerel
6. BA cockerel
7. BA if it has a single comb, EE if it has a pea comb, cockerel
