Purple eggs---- I got some, take a look

I found me some purple eggs, I cant pronounce the bird that lays them, it belongs in the family of emu, rhea and ostrich. The bird that lays them is Chilean Tinamou.









Edit to say they look like chocolet in the pics, but they are a real deep dark purple......

That is amazing .. u have to breed for it and see if you can get more that lay purple eggs you might be founder of all new EE type chicken

Yes they are real eggs, they were blowed out to save the shells.........
 
I have heard those birds are very hard to raise and to get to breed much less incubate so someone you know is doing something right i hope they are fertile

guess they arent since they are blowed out i guess i just type too slow

These eggs are blowed out, no yoke inside.

the guy I got em from says hes lucky if he gets a 50% hatch rate. They are very hard to hatch, but not so hard to raise........
 
I was hoping for hatching eggs, not decorative eggs.

I cant afford fertile hatching eggs, so I got the next best thing, blowed eggs. I pd a nice price for those as well, but I wanted them so I got em.
 
Do I even want to know (ballpark) how much hatching eggs would be?
