I hatched this baby from Marie Miller's eggs, I know it is a Silkie, has 5 feathered toes , but the other day I noticed the feathers were not smooth, so not sure, is it a Sizzle?

Ok, I got to looking at each chick individually and I found another with "funny"feathering. The first 3 pics I got great input on, now the second set of 3 prints are the other chick. She is a pretty black and gray chick with much softer Silkie like feathers but the wing feathers curl up.
Can ya tell I'm new to the whole evil Silkie thing....

From what I read on here before, a sizzle is a frizzle silkie cross, that has both frizzle and silkie feathering. Please somebody correct me if I'm wrong!

Your baby is adorable!

The bird looks like a silkie cross with some kind of frizzled bird (my guess cochin)
It is hard feathered - not silkie feathered, and from what I understand from the "sizzle experts" that is what they are trying for in a sizzle. A bird that fits all the criteria in the standard for a silkie but with hard frizzled feathers.

Well, not sure on the Cochin part. Not sure if Marie has Cochins, so I await her input.

My ten yr old has claimed the oddball as a pocket pet, but he has to kick happy~feet the teeny Serama out to let the Silkie in.
