Kansas~50+ yrs of chickens
I'm so excited with how my SLWs are growing out. I've wanted SLWs that actually look like SLWs for a long time....and now I've got some. I have 3 younger ones too, but they were not the least bit cooperative when I tried to get pictures so this is just pictures of the 16 week olds.

Those are some classy looking chickens! Am I the only one that thinks of the horse race scene from My Fair Lady?
 
Well suddenly I'm dissatisfied with my SLW! She is sweet though. We'll see how she grows up.

I'm starting to see why the hatcheries use illustrations instead of photos of their birds...
 
Sheesh, my Quasimodo doesn't look anything like that. I'm going out to have a little talk with her.

They are really stunning.
