This is actually going to be mainly for the West Georgia 4H. They had already planned a Big Day for Oct 24, after talking with people in charge we decided to help advertise for them. 4H is a great organization and monies raised will go back to them.

This will be at the Callaway Livestock Pavillion in Buchanan, Ga
There will be a Show for the Kids
Tractor Parade
Crafts, Snack Bar and Chicken Swap

There will be a small charge for a space to set up to sell Poultry, the money will go to 4H and will be very small.

We BYCr's made a great showing in June and I think it would be great if we would come out and support this event as well. The advertising will likely bring in more people and a greater crowd is better for those selling Birds.

More details as they are known will be posted here, I will try to answer any questions , you can also contact TripleBPoultry as well.

Lets Show our True BYC Spirit and show up to help make this a great event for everyone!

We are very excited about this event! It will also benefit the Haralson County 4-H Project S.A.F.E. (Shooting Awareness, Fun and Education) which is our BB team. Last year, our first year, the team qualified for state competition which was held at Rock Eagle and did very well for a first year team.

This is a VERY BIG event - 575 shooters. Our boys are very involved with the local 4-H.

Tentatively the swap will begin at 7am and the tractor parade will begin at 1pm. The 4-H Chicken Project will also have a show/judging time. For those of you not familiar with the chicken project, it is chicks 4-H members purchased in the spring, raised and had to chart their progress with these birds. (which is how our "hobby" began) Please realize that this is a judging event just for the 4-H members who participated in the 4-H Chicken Project.

We are working on getting the flyers printed up & out to advertise this event. Anyone that can help with posting flyers around at local businesses, radio/newspaper advertising or any other form of advertising would be appreciated. We will have extra flyers if anyone needs some just send us a note and we will get them to you.

We will probably be looking for door prizes as well. Anyone that can help with that would be greatly appreciated. Please contact us or lockedhearts.

I can say the 4H in Haralson Co is a good group, living in this area I have participated in several events sponsored by the 4H. I would love to see all the local BYC group show up !

Hey guys! Here is a run down of the days activities. We are going to have a lot going on!

I have tickets for the pancakebreakfast they are $5 each. Just let me know if you want one! Also, I have copies of this flyer for anyone who would like to help us post them around their local stores!!!! We are looking for door prizes too! All door prize ticket proceeds will go to Haralson County 4H. Come & help us support!!!!

Schedule of Events
6:30 am – 9:30 am Pancake Breakfast
7:00 am – until Chicken Swap
9:00 am – until Cake Walk Begins
10:00 am 4-H Chicken Project Show
11:00 am Tractor Ride Line-up begins
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm Tractor Ride
3:30 pm Tractor Ride Awards
4:00 pm – until Chicken Auction

Minimum $3 donation for the Chicken Swap.
Chicken Auction consignment fee is 15%.
Drumming and Indian Teepee throughout the day.

Concession stand will open after the Pancake Breakfast. For more information or for Pancake Breakfast tickets, call the Haralson County Cooperative Extension Office at 770-646-2026.
 
Do you have an address for the Pavilion you could post? I am trying to mapquest it and the Callaway Livestock Pavilion is not showing up as an option. Thanks

Here are some quick directions:
off Hwy. 27 take Bus. 27 toward downtown Buchanan then turn( left if heading north) at the big bull. Pavillion will be on the right.
