One of my boys picked this chicken out when we were getting our silkies and we have no idea what it is. The lady just said we know its a bantam for sure but they didnt know what breed it was. It is not user friendly at all. Hates to be picked up or even touched. We really have a hard time cathing her when she gets out of the pen, I am thinking about taking it to the swap but didnt know what to call it or what color of eggs it lays or if it is even a good layer or not. Can somone help me please?

I reallllly don't know bantams but like guessing...

Bantam White Cornish because of body type/close feathering.

If that's a pea comb maybe bantam white easter egger or related breed?

I don't know what a bantam OEG comb looks like off the top of my head, but the tail would be off for one...

That might get you some breed pics to look at and compare on feathersite.com...

Thank you all for the help, that will give me somewhere to start, are cornish bantams ever docile or are they all crazy?

I haven't lived with any so I have no idea... I'm kind of betting on the crazy end of the spectrum though, the standard ones are awfully active.

See that stink eye he's giving me? Dude is all muscle too, and screams bloody murder if you grab and try to hold him.

But, he's a survivor! He's goin' on 3 years old now, I think.

By the way, the exhibition lines look nothing like the hatchery stuff (which is what mine is).
