1 30 gal poly barrel, Free
pvc pipe and fittings, $20.00
4 chicken nipples $2.00 each, $8.00
I Hung this 30 gal poly barrel in my roof rafters for gravity feed.
I plumbed in a 3/4" pvc pipe for a vent that comes out of the top plug opeaning and a 1-1/2" pipe out of the bottom plug opean to the chicken nipples that are threaded into the 1-1/2 pipe.
Here's a close up of he on demand chicken nipples. These give the chickens water when they peck at them.

Heres my fill spicket, I just hook my garden hose to this to fill the system. When everything is full a just close the valve and if I need water outside my coop I can just draw off my storage.
