Nice to see yours growing up! Four week pics of mine to come early next week... I have one that I think might be a cockerel... of course that is the one that is promised to one of the kids' teachers as a laying hen!

Yep that's what most folk said in the "what gender" forum. I will have to stop calling her.. I mean him.. Her. LOL. Well this is why I got 4 chicks, in case one was a roo. Anybody in Sacramento want a FREE EE roo? Would rather he not go for meat, but.. I guess that is common, especially around here. I wish I could have a Roo where I am, but I can't.

I am sure gunna keep him till he crows if I can't find a home before then.

I am glad the other two are pretty sure pullets, and originally I had planned on two laying hens until we move to a bigger place.

Here are a few pictures from the backyard. (they will be out in the yard most of the day because my family is obsessive gardeners/outside people lol)

Cute birdies--but your garden is awesome. I like how you have strawberries under your grapes--is that a Vitis vinifera I see? what varietal? I can never figure out what to put under mine but strawberries is perfect.

I posted some pics of my 8 4-week-old EE "pullets" here on the 'what gender' forum if you're interested

I have no idea what most of the plants back there are lol. My mother is the gardener and she is having a ball fixing it up. The garden is cool, but I wish I had more open space because then I would have a larger coop and more hens

lol!

My neice already ate one ready strawberry and she is on the hunt this weekend because about 4 more came into season
