The new coop is built and ready for birds. Old coop is a damp muddy floor mess. We noticed mites on some of my older birds. New coop has fresh bedding (dried wood chips) and a liberal amount of DE spread around everywhere. Can I put DE directly on the bird or do I need to get poultry sevin to dust the hens with before putting them in the new coop???

You need to use sevin dust on all your chickens as well as both old and new coops to completely eliminate the mites. Redust everything in about 10 days.

That sounded ominous. LOL
I was raised in corona and norco many many many moons ago. Back in the day when it was orange groves and alfalfa fields. Back when Norco was still known as North Corona.
