I was told it was a packing peanut, so I assume it is a RIR roo, but....

Here is a pic of him hanging out in the baby brooder. 20 weeks? The comb is still kinda small-

my RIR roos are 19 wks and there combs and wattles are way bigger ,plus it looks like my pullet. this was my first time being able to sex my first chick.

Thank you everyone! My husband ALWAYS pics the roo chicks as his "favorite"---"RED" was no exception. He will be delighted to hear Red is really a Roja!

Thanks! I actually bought 3 SS chicks from a lady, who then tossed in a fourth one and the packing peanut in for free... Long story short, a dog attack late &shock/illness later-- Roja is my only survivor. I am happy to find out I didn't buy yet another roo
