I know very little about turkeys, but I must say that is a gorgeous bird!

Now I want one like her!

I'm no longer on speaking/buying terms with Porter. I had a very bad experience buying from them and wont do it again. I have several birds like this that are mysteries from Porter. I need to get photos of the other ones though.

She doesnt seem to have much in her tail, I'll look and take pictures tonight.

If anyone is interested in having her, they can contact me. She is bound for dinner, but if someone wants her, I would be willing to ship her.

I would say, by looking at the Porter's website. she is a poor example of a blue palm. she isn't pencilled in the tail, so that rules out pencilled palms. I'd say either a blue palm, or what it says on his website, there are two types of blue palms, the self blue, and the slate blue. I would say shes a self blue palm. I hope you find a home for her. I would take her in to my herd if i didnt live in Ohio

I ordered Black, Oregon Grey, Bourbon and Blue Palm turkeys. When they arrived a note stated that the Oregon Greys had been replaced by Penciled Palms. I had no blacks and this was the only bird that was "penciled". She was marked as penciled by the colored dots on her head (I know it was her by her toes and splint).

Thank you, and she has been bought.

I think she is blue pencilled. Even on the standard and red pencilled there is a lot of variability in the intensity of pigment in the pencilling on the tail feathers. With the blue pencilled markings will be very subtle on the tail.
