All from SC, Lets meet up in March/April for chicken/egg/stories swap.

Time and place yet unknown..maybe in Columbia.

Oh man, that is my really busy season. I have a hard enough time trying to leave the farm for a day during winter or even summer so I am not sure if I could make it or not.
I will certainly try to keep up with this thread in hopes I could get there but I do not plan to add much to my chickens other than what I already have coming. However, I always have extra cutie roos that need homes and probably by April most of my girl chicks will be gone that I am wanting to sell.
And if it was closer than Columbia then even better for me! But again, that is my really busy hatching and selling season.

I'm game! Weekends are usually better for me. Columbia is a pretty central location. Good idea! Hope everyone else chimes in soon.

Yeah! I know how you like silkies! Nadine has some of the best silkies around here!!! She won't part with those cochin girls but she will turn loose of the silkie girls.

I would like to see this event held at a Tractor Supply! Does Columbia even have a Tractor Supply?

And I do have more Silkies growing up. Don't know if they are boys or girls but I found more black Silkies in one of my brooders. Hey, don't look at me like that. I have lots and lots of chicks and can't remember what all I have growing up until they are out of my dark brooder room and in the grow out pens up at my shed and then I still have to look for something someone wants.

Speaking of which, I had a few eggs yesterday and today in my bigger grow out pen and realize now I need to move some Cochin hens over to breeding pens. When I get time.....
It is about time for a big change around with most of my breeding pens anyhow but I have orders to be filled for the next month from my Mille Fleur Cochin projects so I can't do much changing.

Yes, I have Silkies, Sizzles and Frizzles for sale right now but that is about it. Everything else I am keeping until I know I have enough for what I want for breeding. Then I will sell off the excess. I usually give Betsy first dibs on my bantam Cochin girls though.

Yeah and I will fight anybody off for those mottled blacks, those mf project mille hens that I call mottled buffs and anything with a blue tint to it. I love blue.

The day before you came I sold 2 blue Sizzles. They are gorgeous and I hated to part with them but I have so many Frizzles and Sizzles that I can only keep so many here and blue is not one of my favs.
