What do you think about this punishment for bad grades?

Well, if the kid is not doing his homework and take his school work more seriously, I think it was the last resort for his mom to do it. Who knows? Only time will tell if it benefits the young man.
 
There's not enough information for me to say. Sounds like from what she said that she's tried several other things. If he knew this was a possibility and didn't even make an honest effort, well, that's called consequences and now he knows that his parents do what they say. If they've never tried any other punishment or help like tutoring and just jumped to this, then that's another story entirely.
 
Yep.. time will tell.... hopefully it WILL work .... not sure though. Hope they update the story..

On that note there was a news story recently of a man who got robbed so he made his robber wear a sign and tied him up and paraded him around town so everyone knew, from the sign on his neck, he robbed the other guy. Haha.
