Are Silkie Eggs different to hatch than other breeds?

I currently have a full bator with 3 different groups of eggs:

1. Shipped Lt. and Dk Brahmas
2. Shipped BLRW and BWM
3. Fresh, picked up Silkies (from a reliable breeder)

Groups 1 and 2 seem to be doing pretty well for shipped eggs (a couple of blood rings and questionable air cells) but the Silkies aren't developing at all from what I can tell. Today is day 8 and I know I should see SOMETHING.. I just don't see any veining etc. (except for 1 that had a blood ring)

Do Silkie eggs need something different in terms of temps or whatever??

I am using a still air Hovabator with an auto turner. Temps are around 100* and humidity 35%

Ideas??

The only thing I can figure is the size difference maybe.. so the thermometer is on top of the large eggs and suited for them but isn't hot enough for the little eggs?

I hatch my silkies just like I do my other breeds.

Day 1-18 I don't even moniter the humidity. I don't add any water, besides when I mist them. I use an incubation disinfectant and mist a couple times during incubation. Usually stays around 18-20%. Day 18 I stop turning, put the eggs in the cartons (which I hatch in) and bump humidity up to around 70% for my forced air and about 65% for my still air.

If you don't see anything veining and its day 8, on the silkies, they probably werent fertile to being with. I candle my silkies on day 5 and have no problems seeing veins.

I'm going to say wait a few days and don't toss till day 10-12. What are you using to candle? Silkie eggs aren't any different than other chicken breeds incubation wise. The temperature isn't going to effect them and differently. If you're up to it open one up and take a look. See if you see any signs of development that way or maybe even see if you spy a bulls eye. The breeder you bought from should have tested fertility before selling but with silkies it's possible that even though the breeder saw the birds breeding they weren't making good contact. GL

I will wait until day 10 and see. Will crack one open if there isn't anything. Thanks so much for the advice and help. I feel terrible because I am incubating with someone else and her eggs are the Silkie eggs. I just wanted to be sure there wasn't anything I had done wrong.
