I live in a city so I can't free range my 6 chickens but they have a 10' x 10' fully enclosed run which is ample by square footage requirements. I give them scratch, hang apples for them to play with and give them treats when I can. But I feel they are either antsy or bored sometimes so I created a temporary play space that is movable using step-in electric fence posts and safety fence. The chickens went nuts when I opened the run door. They were eating, scratching and digging like I've never seen. Unfortunately I had to leave so I corralled them back into their run but they got about an hour of play time. They were not happy when I put away the fence and they let me know it

. But I know they will be happy when they see that orange fence again.
