Is it possible to make a dog proof tractor? We made the permanent coop/pen as predator proof as we could possibly think - with many thanks to all of you forum contributors! Buried fencing, electric fencing, bird net over the top. We added another layer of electric fencing with strands at 4 different heights after this photo was taken. We have 6 dogs and 6 chickens. The dogs tend to dig more than jump, but with the lightweight bird net, I didn't want to take any chances with them getting close enough to jump over the fence. (I tried introducing the dogs to the chicks, but some of our dogs were feral, wolf mixes, etc., so I don't think some of them will ever not hunt them given a chance).
We would like to extend the chicken's yard, or build them a tractor. Since we won't be digging down 8 inches to bury fencing whenever we move a tractor, is it possible to make the bottom of the fence secure when there is uneven terrain? We could probably figure out a way to run electric fencing around the tractor, but we need to absolutely eliminate any ways for the chickens to get out.
I appreciate any thoughts or suggestions.
