Hello,

A few people have asked about RIR chickens so I thought I would add a video of mine. Production Run chickens, no show chickens here, about 13 weeks old now. This is not a professional video, just shot as I sat around watching the chickens. If you like these videos, you know you've got the fever! I hope you can see a little of their behavior. If you can't see the videos, post and I will adjust.

Neat. Chickens are cool.

I thought it was interesting that when you stick your big old ham fist down in front of the cockerels beak and he gave you a nip - that some might call that "aggressive."

What I find amazing is how people will come to my house and reach down to pet the rooster like he was some Golden Retriever puppy. I put my hand down to show uneducated future chicken owners what might happen. The rooster will also peck when you are changing the water or feed. I actually prefer his behavior to the hens who just scoot to the other side of the coop when I enter. I think he is a great bird. Gotta love chickens!
