I have two brahmas that are very close to 4 weeks old. They are behind in developing (I know they mature slower)compared my other breeds, who are getting their combs and have more real feathers.

At what age do brahmas start develop physical sex characteristics? Basically, if you have raised brahmas, when did you notice the Roos?

My brahmas are standards. At 4 weeks I started suspecting which ones were roos. By 6 weeks I was sure enough to give away the extra roos.
ETA: To help you out, I went to my photobucket account and found these pics of them when they were 5 weeks old. In the first pic, the roo is on the right. In the second and third pics, the roo is on the left.

thanks for the comparison pics. I can see that the boys had pinker and somewhat larger combs.

Did your males feather out slower? One of my brahmas is taking longer than the other.

Yep, especially across the wing bows, what I call their shoulders. Now at almost 13 weeks, my babies look very much the same as any (adult) chicken. The difference is their overall size keeps increasing.
