Here are the two chicks hatched yesterday beneath silver-laced Wyandotte bantam June Bug. The chick with darker markings and black around the eyes is the offspring of my Welsummer/silver Phoenix pullet. The lighter chick is the offspring of her sister, my Rhode Island Red/silver Phoenix pullet. The father to both chicks is my black-breasted old English bantam cockerel Chicken Little.

These two are so cute!

They are really gorgeous chicks - congrats!

thats awesome!!! what type of camera u use?

It is a Nikon D80. The lens I used for these photos is an AS-S Nikkor 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6G ED. I have a top mount flash and arm bracket that I haven't used for chicken photos yet. It might improve the photos even more. I crop most of them and currently use Aperture to improve the colors, lighting, etc. I'm relatively happy with it, but I'd like to try new 105mm macro offered by Nikon.

omg those are the best pics i've seen yet!!!!! your chicks are adorable.....
i think the pic with the chick looking at the momma is just so......... the look of love in the babies eyes as it looks at momma is just so precious. thats what life is all about right there.
best of luck with your babies and rest of your flock.

LOL. I think that adorable chick look is hiding thoughts like, "Let me yank on those glossy red waddles."
