I am having a lot of luck with the HovaBator 1602 and it cost a lot less than the 1588. Granted I an at the beginning of the process. Can't tell you hatch rates or anything like that for another 17 days, but so far it is holding temp and humidity with very little fluctuation.
I had originally ordered a 1588, but it was going to take 3+weeks to get here and I had eggs coming sooner. Our co-op only carries the 1602 so that's what came home. I futzed with it for a day or so just playing with the temps and humidity before I added the eggs. I didn't get the autoturner and have been rolling them three times a day. So far so good.
Just an option for you if money is tight.
