Shelley - I'm with you on the no more snow thought. I think the wild birds are tellin' me something. They have been sooo happy lately. They've been singing up a storm! It's nice to hear. I let the chickens out this morning to free range. There's areas of ground showing so they happily pick away at dirt and grass. It looks like it's supposed to be a beautiful day today and on the warm side all this week.

Good morning everyone

I agree Spring is in the air. The kids are just excited that its daylight when they get on the bus now. They are counting down the days untill Spring Break. I always go let the girls out to free range by 8 am. This morning it was 7:30, and obviously not soon enough in their opinion. I hope we have grass come up. This is my first year with the girls. They are like miny rotertillers in the yard. We are going to section off the yard for them to have their own area as soon as the ground thaws. Spring is going to be a muddy mess out there. I am so glad we choose cream colored carpet with the dogs and kids. Best decision ever. NOT!

Shellyb, I wish you weren't 4 hours away from me

I want some silkie and cochin babies so bad. I saw on your website that you sometimes have frizzles, too?? OMG, I would just love a few frizzles. Maybe when the weather gets a little more predictable (ha ha...this is Michigan) I can make a day of it and take a road trip up your way.

I am with all you guys..I am so ready for Spring to get here. I just love the earlier daylight, too. Too bad we go on daylight savings time the 14th of this month. I always hate the "time change". The older I get the harder it is to adjust to it. Have a great day everyone and enjoy the sunshine

Good Morning! Welcome new folks! Our county uses MSU eggs for the miracle of life at the county fair. My cousin got the chicks and almost all were roos! They are very pretty and a lot of variety.

Prayer request for my SIL, Amy. (She is battling cancer for over 2 years now) She is in the hospital now with pnemonia. She took a turn for the worse last night and they had to tube her. Pray for wisdom and guidance for the doctors and peace for Amy, as she is prone to aniexty attacks with her medications. thank you!

Have a great day!
Sarah

It's a little girl. I named her Charlie. Isn't she adorable? Gordita and Charlie are both doing well, and finally resting.

Yeah, I know. Hubby and I were just talking about that. Usually we have more snow up here than you guys (I think, anyways). My driveway is almost completely bare and the gravel is showing. I can even see some grassy spots in the front lawn. That usually goes last because we are usually in the back yard. I believe southern (southern Saginaw County southward) had received way more snow than we did this year. Not too upset about that. I received just enough to be happy and the temps have been lovely -- as far as winter goes.

I've been on a baking marathon. I'm done with my homemade onion buns for burgers tonight and homemade yellow cake with chocolate frosting. I just have to bake the croutons for salad tonight. It's the hubbie's birthday.

We have plenty of snow here for everybody! Of coarse it's now heavy and mushy. I can't wait for that warm weather this weekend, but I'm not looking forward to the flooding our yard will probably have.

Off to work!

Have a wonderful day!
