I was wondering what the Trader Joes eggs grow up to be like. I know they are chickens

, but are they laying really well? Are they just like my hatchery leghorn (flighty and a bit stupid). Someone posted that they were calmer then the typical Leghorn. Just wanted to get some input. I'm thinking of hatching some with my class.

Trader Joe's is a specialty supermarket. They sometimes sell fertile eggs from free-range leghorns.

Look up ArizonaDesertChicks... she has some in her bator right now.

Sorry, I forgot that Trader Joes is not everywhere. It is a small grocery market chain that carries fertile eggs is many of their stores. There have been a few threads here that I have followed where people have hatched the eggs. I was wondering what they are like as adults.

People here have said that the hens are a type of leghorn or Hy-Line??? A quote from the Hy-Line co. "Hy-Line geneticists, more than six decades ago, developed the world's first hybrid egg laying chicken produced on a commercial scale and......."

I'm not sure what type of rooster they are using to fertilize their hens so that they can be sold as fertilized eggs. I was wondering what they were like when they were all grown up??????
