The Disneyland Area Chicken Coop - with photos

WhySayWhat - - I looked at your blog today and it's wonderful, so fun and informative. How do you do that? It's very nice, and we are both very chatty - I would love to do one.

So nice to see your hobbies and interests. Our garden is mostly in raised planters because our dogs eat the tomatoes and peppers!! We are starting a bunch of strawberries and - I hope we get one or two!! Darn dogs.

It's amazing how you get so caught up in the building, painting, and running out to return stuff you didn't need and picking up more of everything else!

But today we got the first roof panel on, and tons of painting done...

Everything is in a shambles as we concentrate on this - I wonder if the backyard will ever be the same again. Very dry conditions today, not hot, but high winds in the canyons and I know this must have been a red flag day (fire danger). We are flatlanders, and nothing dramatic ever happens around our area, but don't believe the old "It never rains at Disneyland"...not after the winter we had!

Thanks! I read a lot of blogs on Blogspot (I believe it's just a .com), so I already knew I liked the layout. You just sign up for an account and it walks you through the whole setup procedure! Glad to know other people find what I do fun to read about, lol. As for my garden, it's generally all done in containers because of my dog as well (she was fed most of last year's tomatoes, they were mealy), but trying to get some actual ground prepped for this year too! I have my own "darn dog" that I'll be posting about later today as well!

Hope...Your coop looks gorgeous! I can't cut a straight line to save my life...I need help holding a board to cut it today and I got horribley teased when I dres a nice straight line, and then missed it by a mile! It really is hard to tell where that little pencil mark is when the reciprocating saw is rattling everything around though!

I'm just glad you keep your blog in your footer. I can always find it by coming here to my thread...because I forgot to bookmark it! Thanks for the info. I do admit to loving it here. The (D'land) fireworks are going off right now, and if I wanted to I could peek over the neighbor's house and through a tree and catch some of the higher ones. It was hot and windy here today and we were doing the roofing pieces, which threatened to sail away - ack!

Huge progress today -

Your second chickee is not a slw you are right they do have chipmunk like stripes on their backs. Actually the Goldens have brownish striping and the silvers are more black and yellow and thier faces are different too. Yours looks like an austrolope.
