on your chickens?....are there differant types of sevins dust?..like one that IS safe to put on the chickens and another type that isnt?...thanks, Wendy

I use sevin dust. I cut the foot out of a pantyhose, put in some sevin, tie the end up and use it as a powder puff. Turn the bird uo and powder puff all over si that it goes down in the feathers and next to the skin - under the wings, around the vent - a good quick powder can be done in under 30 seconds. Just don't puff it around so much that you breath in the dust.

thanks everyone...miss prissy...i also use a pantyhose to dust my veggie garden...

Do you continue to collect and use the eggs that are laid after dusting with Sevin, or wait a few days? I've heard mixed reports on if it is safe to eat the eggs.

I wouldnt... i would wait at least 2 weeks. But thats just my opinion...
