Kay. So my friends mom used to make these things all the time, and my gosh, they're amazing!

It had like, chocolate and peanut butter with oats...and she'd like mix it up. I'm not sure if she baked it or not... they were gooey and HEAVENLY! Anyone have any clue what I'm talking about? If so, do you have a recipe?

Think we called those "no cook chocolate oatmeal cookies" when yeah, everything was done on the stove top. Depending on the humidity, they'd either be gooey, or (my favorite) slightly crumbly and crystaline. If MissP doesn't find the recipe, I'll call mom for it

Boiled Cookies

2 cups sugar
3 tablespoons cocoa
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup butter or margarine
3 cups quick-cooking oats
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup peanut butter

Bring to a boil sugar, cocoa, milk and butter.

Cook 1 minute.

Remove from heat and quickly add oats, peanut butter and vanilla.

Drop by teaspoonful on waxed paper.

Let stand 1/2 hour until cool.

You can 1/2 to 1 cup nuts too the ingredients above and they are good too.

My DMIL taught me to make those. She called them Preacher Cookies.

My hubby and I don't care WHAT you call them...we'll fight you for them! They disappear fast at our house!
