The date and location of the Chickenstock has been chosen! We'll be doing a potluck style lunch like last year's event.
The Chickenstock will be on Saturday, November 5th. (Yes, that's this Saturday!
)
I will be at the site setting up at 9 AM, any of you who want to show up early to help set up will be greatly appreciated.
Here's an "agenda" for the day... we don't have to strictly follow this, just something to keep us all on track.
(9:00am setup)
10:00am Arrival, Sign in, Drop Off Donations
11:30-1:30pm Lunch
Planned Activity during lunch
1:45pm Appreciations for donations, planning, food, and others./Group photo with BYC Banner
2:30pm Donations raffle.
3:00pm Games and socializing.
4:30pm Goodbyes and Clean up
Out by 5:00pm
We're having this year's event at the Oakland Zoo, they offer spacious outdoor picnic areas that will be able to accommodate the large number of folks we're expecting.
We'll be having our event at the 'Lion Lookout' location.
The site is outfitted with lots of picnic tables.
There's a playground for the kiddos.
Bathrooms are conveniently located.
Here's a map of the zoo showing the location of the site.
Also! We now have Google spreadsheets set up for you to enter what you'll be bringing to the Chickenstock to eat- we'll be doing this year's event potluck style so please plan on bringing enough food items to serve at least 8-10 people.

cherylcohen will be handling donations for this year's event, she also created a spreadsheet for folks to enter items that they want to bring to be raffled off as prized at this year's event. Great idea Cheryl!
